Municipal early years planning
A Municipal Early Years Plan describes a desired future, goals, strategies and key actions for a geographical area or service.
It is an aspirational plan that articulates the long term future for the area as well as strategies to implement the vision. It is effectively a strategic plan at a community level.
These plans support and underpin the development and coordination of education, care and health services and activities for young children and their families.
Plans are tailored to suit local circumstances. It is not intended to be a plan for the whole service system within a geographical area, but rather provides a starting point.
